Elected in 2014 to Alabama State House of Representatives, District 44 (Trussville/Clay/ Pinson) Raised in Center Point, Alabama. Graduate of E.B Erwin High School in 1976. Former resident of Clay (7 years) and current resident of Trussville (23 years). Earned bachelors degree in Commerce and Business Administration (1980) and masters degree in Tax Accounting (1981) from the University of Alabama. Over 30 year successful career in the steel, rail and bus manufacturing industries. Served as CFO for two public corporations and for a family owned business. Also served as senior executive with a company owned by a major U.S. private equity firm. Former vice president of the Trussville City Schools Board of Education; former board member of Independence Place, a faith-based organization meeting the social and recreational needs of young adults with exceptional needs; board of visitors for University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Commerce. Active member, deacon and Sunday School teacher — First Baptist Church of Trussville. Married 30 years to Carol. Three adults sons.
